In everything by prayer, supplication and thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God

God adopted me into his family, He choose me, He sought after me to save me from sin. I am set apart by the Lord God almighty who created Heaven and Earth. Who spoke the everything into existence. He wants to have me in His family.

To seek God is to want to be close to Him. To be close to God means we read His word, pray and worship Him.

This relationship is very much like a parental one. Parents want the best for their children, they want to protect, defend, love, teach, discipline to guide them, parents want they’re children to be like them, they want them to have the best chances and opportunities, to have the best possible things they can provide for them.

God offers salvation, assurance, forgiveness, love unconditional, blessings, protection, guidance, instruction, gifts, teachings, He wants to be in all aspects of life not just the Sunday service, instant communication we do not have to wait to go some where and see Him - call or text and wait for a reply, He has given His word to guide and show us the way. God wants the best for us and offers it to us.

Faith in God is not simple or nor easy. Everything today is about having and getting what you want when you want it. Seeing today is believing. The world has been an instant machine of receiving. Patient is gone, working hard and striving to get to something you want seems to have ended. The appreciation of things seems dead. Entitlement is the new norm. Get get and get more is what everyone is after. Movies, tv shows, books, self help books, celebrities and now the influencers are all build around being flashy look what I have, I did this and I got that, I get more and I take more. It’s all empty and has no substance to it. The lack of substance in the world today is to me insane, noting is made to last, in fact it seems everything is made to be temporary and need to be replaced. The aim of this to try and be one of those people that has all this stuff and all these things. Gods way is not this, seeking His way is hard, difficult and leads to generally none of the above in themselves. “Christian teachers preachers and really now what they should be considered is influencers” try to say take Gods promise of this and that. It’s yours he will give it to you. They are no Christians in my view they are off the enemy “false prophets” leading people away from the word of God. Personal if God wants  you to have a promise from Him, he will speak to you, He will be the One to give it and let you know He is giving it. Seek His Kingdom and all these things will be given to you.

Seeking His kingdom is by living each day by the Word, prayers and workshopping Him, “in spirit and truth”. Our spirit must be true and pure in our desires for God. No one can claim a single thing from God and say I am taking this from You, without God freely giving it. A happy loving family and life is more precious than any wealth or possession you can have. The richest thing you can have is a relationship with God that blesses your life with spiritual blessings that leads to a happy and loving family. No wealth or possessions will ever come close to having a great relationship with your wife or husband or children.

If you spend your life seeking to be rich, and you become rich you will want to be richer and richer. Though if you did all and got their but spent no time with your wife/husband or kids what is it actually worth.

Faith without works is dead. If we walk by the Spirit let us also live by the Spirt. Faith is proven though works. If you for instances prayed for someone to come to know God and you have faith to believe it can happen, but do not share the gospel or the word of God with them or your testimony, then where is your faith in action.

God in all things offers

  1. Salvation

  2. Hope

  3. Love

  4. Faithfulness

  5. Care

  6. Protection

  7. Forgiveness

  8. Strength

  9. Joy

  10. Contentment

  11. Good things

  12. Support

  13. Healing

  14. God listens better than anyone and knows us better than we do

God is good all the time, seek first His kingdom and all these things will be added onto you.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

Philippians 4:6 NASB1995

https://bible.com/bible/100/php.4.6.NASB1995

“What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected; and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God. You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. In the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.”

James 2:14-26 NASB1995

“For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”

Jeremiah 29:11-13 NASB1995

““But if I were you, I would appeal to God; I would lay my cause before him. He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. He provides rain for the earth; he sends water on the countryside.”

Job 5:8-10 NIV

https://bible.com/bible/111/job.5.8-10.NIV

“Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Luke 12:22-34 NIV

“One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord And to meditate in His temple. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice, And be gracious to me and answer me. When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, O Lord, I shall seek.” Do not hide Your face from me, Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not abandon me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation! Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.”

Jeremiah 33:3 NASB1995

Note

What would I consider great and mighty things?

  1. Hearing God speak to me in it’s self would be a great and mighty thing

  2. Instruction or encouragement to seek God daily in all things

  3. God saying be still and know that I Am God, I will always be with you and will see you through all things. I have adopted you into My family. You are not alone or rejected any longer. I love you, I know the things you have been through and the hurts and pains, but I will heal them all. You are my son now. I will support you and advise you through life. Whatever you need I the Lord your God will provide.

  4. I will be your guide through the darkness, I will be with you in the light of day. Do not wonder from Me as like a child wonders from a parent not knowing of the dangers that are around, as they could get lost or attacked. Stay close and know that I AM the Lord your God.

“The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him. It is good that he waits silently For the salvation of the Lord.”
